1Agreement to terms
By downloading, installing, or using EC Roadmap ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Edmonds Consulting, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
You may not download or use the Software if you are or become a direct competitor to Edmonds Consulting, LLC without prior written consent.
2Description of the software
EC Roadmap is a Windows desktop application that generates professional PowerPoint roadmap presentations from Microsoft Excel templates or Microsoft Project schedules. The Software supports swimlane layouts, task bars, milestones, significant dates, dependency arrows, critical path highlighting, baseline tracking, progress indicators, stoplights, and hover tooltips in generated output files.
Output files (.pptx) generated by the Software are owned entirely by you. Edmonds Consulting, LLC claims no rights to your project data or generated output.
3License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and an active subscription, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use EC Roadmap on a single device for your internal business purposes.
You may not:
- Install or use the Software on more than one device per license
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the Software to any third party
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software
- Modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Software
- Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
4Free trial
EC Roadmap includes a 14-day free trial with full functionality. The trial period begins on the date of your first successful roadmap generation — not on installation. No payment is required to begin your trial. At the end of the trial period, the Software will stop generating new roadmaps unless you purchase a license. All files generated during the trial period remain yours to keep.
5Subscriptions and billing
EC Roadmap is sold as an annual license at $129/year. Payment is processed securely through Polar, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Edmonds Consulting, LLC does not store or have access to your payment card information.
Upon successful payment you will receive an email with an activation link and instructions for activating your license key. Your license is valid for one year from the date of activation. Renewal is not automatic — you will see a reminder within the app before your license expires and may renew at that time.
6Refund policy
EC Roadmap includes a full-featured 14-day free trial, giving you the opportunity to fully evaluate the Software before purchasing. If you are not satisfied for any reason, contact us at support@ecroadmap.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Upon issuing a refund your license will be deactivated and access to the Software will end immediately.
Refund requests after 30 days will not be approved except in cases where a material defect in the Software prevents basic functionality — specifically the generation of PowerPoint output — and where:
- The defect is reported in writing to support@ecroadmap.com within 7 days of discovery, and
- The defect is confirmed by Edmonds Consulting, LLC to be caused by the Software itself rather than data formatting, system configuration, or user error
Issues caused by incompatible data, unsupported configurations, or user error are not grounds for a refund and are addressed through support.
7Updates
Bug fixes and minor updates are included during your active license year at no additional charge. You will be notified of updates by email. Major feature upgrades may require purchase of a new license and will be communicated in advance.
8Support
Email support is provided on a best-effort basis during normal business hours (Pacific Time). We aim to respond to all support requests within two business days. Contact support@ecroadmap.com for technical support or info@ecroadmap.com for general inquiries.
9Intellectual property
EC Roadmap and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by Edmonds Consulting, LLC and protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. "EC Roadmap" is a trademark of Edmonds Consulting, LLC.
Microsoft®, PowerPoint®, Excel®, and Project® are registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Edmonds Consulting, LLC is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation.
10Privacy policy
Edmonds Consulting, LLC is committed to protecting your privacy. This section describes what information we collect, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Information collected by the Software
EC Roadmap requires an internet connection to validate your license on each launch. The Software communicates with a secure licensing server operated by Edmonds Consulting, LLC solely for license and trial verification purposes.
During normal operation the Software automatically transmits the following to our licensing server over HTTPS:
- A cryptographic fingerprint of your device (derived from your computer name and hardware identifiers) — used to verify your trial period and prevent circumvention
- Hardware identifiers associated with your device — used to verify your license is being used on the correct machine
- Your license key — used to confirm it is valid, active, and not expired
This information is:
- Transmitted securely over HTTPS
- Used solely for license and trial validation purposes
- Never used for tracking, analytics, or advertising
- Never sold or shared with any third party
- Stored on Cloudflare infrastructure — see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details
License activation
When you first enter your license key, the Software transmits device identification information to our licensing server to complete activation. This ties your license to your specific machine. If you need to transfer your license to a new machine, contact support@ecroadmap.com.
Trial period
During the 14-day free trial, your device fingerprint is registered with our licensing server on your first roadmap generation. This allows us to enforce the trial period accurately. The fingerprint is a one-way hash — your raw computer name and hardware identifiers cannot be derived from it.
Information you provide to us
When contacting us for purchase, license activation, or support, you may provide your name and email address. This information is used solely to fulfill your license and respond to your inquiry and is never sold or shared with any third party.
License data storage
License information — including your email address and device identification information — is stored in Cloudflare KV, a key-value data store operated by Cloudflare, Inc. This data is accessible only to Edmonds Consulting, LLC and is used solely for license issuance, validation, and management.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Polar, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Edmonds Consulting, LLC never receives, stores, or has access to your payment card details. Polar's handling of your payment data is governed by Polar's Privacy Policy.
Website
The ecroadmap.com website is hosted on Cloudflare. Standard server logs may record your IP address and browser information when you visit. This data is used for security and performance purposes only and is not used to identify individual users.
Your rights (California residents)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents may request to know what personal information we hold, request deletion of that information, or opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, contact info@ecroadmap.com.

11Export compliance
The Software may be subject to United States export control laws and regulations. You agree not to export or re-export the Software in violation of applicable U.S. export laws, including to any country subject to U.S. trade sanctions.
12Disclaimer of warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
13Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EDMONDS CONSULTING, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
14Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Edmonds Consulting, LLC and its officers, agents, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the Software in violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
15Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Software if you breach any provision of these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software. Sections 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 16 survive termination.
16Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Placer County, California.
17Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the Software after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
